Company History |
We are not entirely convinced that the guys who set up P&P in 1986 had a 20 year plan… but we have a huge amount to thank them for. In a world of 80’s wine bars and grotty London boozers the first P&P in Fulham was a breath of fresh air to West London drinkers.
P&P was the first bar concept around, bringing an injection of excitement and energy into everyday “going out”. The atmosphere was key and the clean, crisp approach to design was a huge step forward with white walls, wooden floorboards and halogen lighting fast becoming a major influence in people’s homestyling in the early 90’s. The concept of “Home from home” was defined by these early bars; classic style and a flexibility of environment that attracted a crowd that thoroughly appreciated their new found ability to relax, get together or enjoy the good old fashioned P&P Party.
Gradually more P&P bars opened across the country appearing in all the best places nationwide, but even with increasingly more remarkable buildings the simplicity of the original concept still remained; For us to be passionate about bringing the best people together in a stunning environment and atmosphere.
It is this simplicity that has meant that P&P has never been one for spending fortunes on the latest tube advertising campaign or sponsoring primetime TV programmes. We would much rather that people find out about as those that already enjoy P&P continue to bring others and keep telling their stories about how they first met their wife or boyfriend in P&P, partied the night away, shared a night out with old mates or just put the world to rights over a couple of glasses of wine.
There have been over 1000 Sunday night parties since we first opened in Fulham but we are hopeful of you coming for a few more!
